The Illustrated Listening Guide

Vol. 1: Great Headless Blank

Welcome, and congratulations on your impending musical journey through Makeunder's Great Headless Blank!

What follows is a short tutorial on how to optimally listen to the EP.

Of course, there are a plethora of ways you may choose to listen to the record.

You may find yourself, for instance

Blasting it on your ancestor's hi-fi, surrounded by your ghosts

humming along while riding a bike in a foreign city

putting it on a primo car stereo while driving across the endless desert

or perhaps meditating to it while floating away from the world you were born into

Our researchers have found, however, that the optimal listening experience is as follows:
Step 1
Select a room in your home, along with 1-5 friends, and/or a significant other, or alone, with a quality hi-fi system.
The room should be no smaller than 14x14x14 feet, and would ideally have an area rug or carpet.
Step 2
Dim the lighting to around 200 lumens. A lumens meter will ensure optimal lighting.
Depending on your jurisdiction, the bulbs in your fixtures may have the lumens printed on them.
Step 3 Queue up Great Headless Blank on { vinyl.

the internet.
(Make sure to perform any diagnostics on your sound system beforehand.)
Place the needle, or press play on your sound system.
If you are without a copy, listen to it here:
Step 4 Clear a space on the floor, and lay upon it with your party, or alone, breathing deeply and listening.
